Abstract :
In conclusion, this new bedside whole blood cTT immunoassay possesses similar or better sensitivity and specificity than creatine kinase-MB for diagnosing acute myocardial infarction, and is easier and faster to use. It is therefore a promising new test for very early diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction; further validation and a comparison with creatine kinase-MB subform determinations are needed in larger groups of patients.
