Doppler-derived pulmonary arterial systolic pressure in patients with known systemic arterial pressures

Clinical interpretation of systolic pulmonary arterial pressure in hypertensive patients should take into account age, body size, and systolic blood pressure values. For example, in obese hypertensive patients aged >60 years, a value of systolic pulmonary arterial pressure as high as 47 mm Hg could be considered normal.
