Abstract :
In summary, although larger lumens by core laboratory readings result in a lower restenosis rate at restudy, the relation between post-PTCA and restudy results as measured by the local site operator is weak, and the strategy of trying to obtain the largest lumen possible when using balloon angioplasty may not offer consistent benefits to patients in the reduction of future clinical events.
