Abstract :
In conclusion, this study shows that the level of the peak pulmonary artery pressure with exercise is the most important factor determining the exercise tolerance in MS, rather than mitral valve area or mitral gradient at rest. Further investigation is necessary for exact clarification of the mechanism of disproportionate increase in pulmonary artery pressure in this disease.
