Abstract :
A noticeable effort toward the total synthesis of a jatrophane diterpene has been made via the synthesis of various vinyliodides utilizing highly stereoselective Tanino–Miyashita olefination reaction; and utilizing the dithiane moiety as an acyl anion equivalent.
