Abstract :
In conclusion detectable cTn-I in HF identifies a subgroup of patients with a particularly severe clinical and functional status, at risk for subsequent deterioration, including death. Improvement in HF is associated with disappearance of cTn-I. Detectable cTn-I may represent the biochemical evidence of myocardial cell damage in severe HF.
