Abstract :
Microwave-induced cyclocondensation of methyl 2-(acetoxy(phenyl)methyl)acrylate with 2-aminopyridines under catalyst and solvent-free conditions has been achieved for a rapid synthesis of 3-substituted-2H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-2-ones in good yields with high selectivity in short reaction times.
