Abstract :
An unusual sterol having an unprecedented ether ring (1) and another new sterol (2) were isolated from the fruiting bodies of Stropharia rugosoannulata. Their structures were determined by the interpretation of spectroscopic data. The relative stereochemistry of 1 was determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
