Phylogenetic Studies and Image Analysis of Pollen Grains in Some Herbal Plants from Eastern Ghats

Pollen biology is an important subject where the hidden information in the pollen architecture can be reveled using image analysis softwares. Phylogenetic analysis provides relationship of Oldenlandia umbellate with Merimia tridantata and Anisomeles ovata, Justicia procumbens with Datura inxora, Pavonia hastata with Datura stramonium and Evolvulus alsinoides, and unrelated species as Vernonia crinita and Tridax procumbens
