Abstract :
Bis-epoxides were converted into trans-2,5-disubstituted-tetrahydrofuran and trans-2,6-disubstituted-tetrahydropyran derivatives using a kinetic resolution followed by cyclization, in an efficient and highly enantio- and diastereoselective manner.
