Abstract :
A novel and efficient procedure for the synthesis of structurally diverse benzimidazolylquinolines has been realized through a new acid-catalyzed quinoxalinone–benzimidazole rearrangement of the spiro-quinoxalinone derivatives formed in situ from the reaction of 3-(2-aminophenyl)quinoxalin-2(1Н)-ones and different ketones.
