Interface magnetism

Recent developments in experimental studies on interface (and ultra-thin film) magnetism are briefly surveyed. The usefulness of Mِssbauer spectroscopy as a tool for the study of interface electronic structures is described. Remarkable progress in the field of interfaces and ultra-thin films has been made by utilizing artificially prepared multilayers. Studies on the magnetic properties of multilayered films are reviewed.
