Abstract
The present study investigated any seasonal variation in myocardial perfusion, enzymatic infarct size, and 1-year mortality in 1,548 patients who underwent primary angioplasty for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. No seasonal variation was observed in patients’ demographic and clinical characteristics. No difference was observed in the prevalence of heart failure at presentation and in myocardial perfusion, enzymatic infarct size, and 1-year mortality.
