On the partition function of Morse oscillators

Based on the cumulant approach, new analytical formulae are proposed to evaluate the vibrational partition function of Morse oscillators. These formulae give numerical values nearly identical to the exact values over the entire temperature range. The influence of rotation–vibration coupling is also taken into account.
