Abstract :
Calculations of the total scattering cross section for 3He–3He collisions in matter at low energy exhibit beyond any doubt a Ramsauer–Townsend effect in liquid 3He. This effect is absent in the 3He gas. It is, therefore, a purely many-body effect in liquid 3He.
