Abstract :
Kinematically complete study of dissociation of OCS due to various Auger decays upon excitation at S( 2 p 1 / 2 ) ionization threshold is presented. Ion momentum spectrometry and energy selected Auger electron–photoion–photoion coincidence techniques are employed to perform these studies. Fragmentation mechanisms show marked differences (both kinematic and cross sectional) depending on the final Auger state attained. The kinematic features for S( 2 p ) ionization are significantly different from that of valence photo double ionization of OCS.
