Abstract :
The paper reports the modification of interface of water/AOT(sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate)/isooctane reverse micelles by the influence of organodiselenides viz., C10H6N2F2Se2 and C10H6N2Cl2Se2 employing fluorescence and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. The interfacial modification has been further confirmed by FTIR studies. The physico-chemical behavior of the system has been investigated employing conductivity, which clearly shows the phenomenon of percolation. The obtained results have been explained on the basis of scaling laws and activation energy of percolation. Results have also been evaluated to throw light on the thermodynamics of droplet clustering.
