Abstract :
An experiment was performed to test the influence of walls on destabilization of a suspension drop settling under gravity in a viscous fluid in the low Reynolds number regime. The averaged distance the drop settled until destabilization was determined. In was found that in the presence of one or two parallel vertical walls close by, the destabilization length is shorter than in an unbounded fluid.
