Continuous flow systems for the determination of trace elements and metals in seafood

A review is presented to show the advantages involved in the use of continuous flow systems for the determination of trace metals in seafood samples. The flow injection methods proposed for the determination of metals in seafood are described and compared according to the used detection technique. On-line sample dissolution and on-line separation techniques, analytical figures of merit and interferences are also discussed.
