Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of neuroscience research related to adult intelligence and explore the implications of adopting an organizational neuroscience perspective for workplace research and practice. We argue that neuroscience will have several important consequences. First, it will force us to refine our definition of what intelligence is and is not. Second, this new conceptualization of intelligence provides a number of new measures of intelligence that could be more valid than current measures depending on the specific job demands under consideration. Lastly, this new perspective sheds new light on a number of situational factors that limit an individualʹs ability to utilize their full intelligence capabilities.
