Abstract
The CH bond stretch spectrum of cyclohexene has been recorded at low resolution at 300 K in a gas cell and at much lower temperatures in a supersonic jet. A lot of extra Q branches appear in the jet spectrum with respect to the cell one. Their origin is explained by vibrational couplings between stretching and bending modes with the two low frequency motions of the molecule which have been thoroughly studied in paper I. On the grounds of ab initio calculations presented in paper I, the spectrum is theoretically reproduced at the two temperatures, ambient and 48 K, while differences between experimental and calculated spectra are discussed.
