Abstract :
A novel lanthanum–molybdenum coordination polymer [La(H2O)3(MoO4)]2C2O4 (1) has been synthesized from hydrothermal reactions. Single crystal structure analysis reveals that compound 1 has a 3D framework structure consisting of double-metal centers of nine-coordinated La(III) and four-coordinated Mo(VI), and bridging oxalate ligands ( C 2 O 4 2 - ). Interestingly, in situ formation of ligand from L-Histidine to oxalate is observed. Furthermore, the fluorescence property of the polymer has also been investigated.
