Derivation of Wilson equation for GE from association models

It is shown that some types of association lead to the Wilson equation for excess Gibbs energy. Thus both association and local composition effects can contribute to values of the Wilson parameters. This analysis explains why Wilson parameters in associating mixtures disagree with theoretical models of local compositions and why the Wilson equation fails for some types of mixtures.
