Developing a Short Form of the Questionnaire on Determinants of Knowledge Sharing Practices in Iranian Samples

Purpose: The present study aims to develop and identify psychometric characteristics of a questionnaire on the determinants of knowledge sharing practices in universities consistent with Iranian social-cultural criteria. The researchers set to identify the determinants of knowledge sharing practices in universities using the qualitative technique of grounded theory. Secondly, questionnaire items were written based on the data obtained Thirdly, psychometric attributes of the questionnaire were examined using face, content and construct validities as well as internal consistency (reliability). The results supported the suitability of 20 items on the questionnaire. This short form of the Determinants of Knowledge Sharing Practices Questionnaire (DOKSPQ) in Iranian faculty members was found to have an appropriate factorial structure.
