Abstract :
Henryʹs constants and the infinite dilution activity coefficients of propane, propene, trans-2-butene and 1,3-butadiene in methanol in the temperature range of 255–320 K are measured by a gas stripping method. The accuracy of the measurements is about 2% for Henryʹs constants and 3% for the estimated infinite dilution activity coefficients. In the evaluations for the infinite dilution activity coefficients, the nonideality of solute is not negligible especially at higher temperatures and the estimation uncertainty in the infinite dilution activity coefficients includes 1% for nonideality. These activity coefficients are compared with the estimation values from UNIFAC and ASOG models.
