ON TWO PROBLEMS OF DYNAMICAL STABILITY OF OSCILLATORY SYSTEMS FORMULATED BY ACADEMICIANS P. L. KAPITSA

Expressions for the natural vibration frequencies of a ring rotating on two supports are obtained, with the middle line of the ring being assumed to be inextensible. Lagrangeʹs equations of the second kind with unknown multipliers are used. Theoretical calculations are compared with experimental data.
