GRADIENT THEORY OF ELASTICITY

The fundamentals of the gradient theory of elasticity of inhomogeneous media in 3D stress state are proposed. An algorithm for determining the integral components of the stress slateand the effective parameters in the constitutive equations is considered within the framework of the first approximation. It is shown that taking into account the influence of the tangential stress in rotations of lhe elements of the medium makes it possible to introduce an asymmetric stress tensor. Solutions of the equilibrium equations in terms of stress functions are suggested.
