Beam optics studies Part II. Transport from USP linac entrance to three target areas

The optical elements necessary for transport of the Pelletron heavy ion beam injected at the entrance of the superconducting linac accelerator, passing through two cryostats, out to three new target areas have been chosen using a computer simulation of the optical path. Special attention has been given to the values of the on-target spatial and longitudinal coordinates for the bunch-debunch operation modes of the rebuncher. Results are presented graphically.
