Infill Development Potential for Urban Deteriorated Areas (Case Study: Zanjan City)

Now days due to transient urban development, infill development strategy is considered one of most important urban development strategies that could be end in sustainable urban development. The purpose of this study is identifying Zanjan city deteriorated urban area infill development potential. This study is intrinsically considered kind of applied research, and based on methods are used research is regarded documental - analytical research which uses GIS technique (Model FUZZY-AHP) for data analysis, preparation of the final map and pertinent layers. Research results show high infill development potential for Zanjan city deteriorated urban areas and by attending such potentials city deteriorated texture can be very effective in reducing city’s improper growth and contribute to better housing potential and in this case more sustainable and healthy city will be configured.
