Abstract
A self-contained time-of-flight spectrometer has been developed for neutrons from about 1 to 7 MeV. The spectrometer utilizes the isochronous principle for increasing the overall efficiency. The spectrum of neutron energies is obtained either from the measured distribution of neutron flight-time or by unfolding proton recoil energy spectra. Performance tests and results from Monte Carlo calculations are presented.
