Abstract :
Time-of-flight properties of a system consisting of successively located mirrors with two-dimensional electrostatic fields having a common plane of symmetry are considered. The conditions for time-of-flight focusing in an angle of divergence of a charged particle beam and in the energy spread are found. The schemes of a time-of-flight spectrometer composed of cylindrical mirrors with external and internal reflection of a beam are calculated.
