Abstract :
A new method for data acquisition and evaluation has been implemented and tested on the electrostatic spectrometer for 0 eV to 20 keV electrons emitted in radioactive transformations. The actual voltages on the spectrometer electrodes are measured every second and are stored together with the counting rates. This allows the recorded events to be sorted into proper energy intervals regardless of possible power-supplies instabilities and the invariability of the conditions of the experiment to be examined. A DC divider of up to 11 kV with a temperature coefficient of the dividing ratio of order 10−7 per °C was developed.
