Particle identification for LHC-B: a dedicated collider B experiment at the LHC

The requirements for particle identification for a dedicated collider B experiment at the LHC with a 14 TeV center of mass energy are summarized. Properties of ring imaging Cherenkov counters which can give the necessary particle ID are presented. Focused aerogel and focused gas radiators will be required to cover both the lower (< 8 GeV) and higher (< 150 Ge V) momenta. The photosensors and radiators needed to obtain the required performance are described.
