The MGA code for the determination of the isotopic composition of plutonium and MOX by gamma spectrometry — A performance study

Plutonium is a special nuclear material which must be accurately measured and accounted for, both with respect to mass and isotopic composition. The MGA code for evaluation of plutonium gamma spectra has been tested in this work with respect to its dependence on various instrumental and sample parameters. s show that the code is generally reliable under the tested conditions. Recommendations for the equipment to be applied are given.
