  • Abstract
    As preliminary experiments on AIC-144 S in Cracow and the simulation on the mathematical analogous model of the isochronous cyclotron have shown, there is a possibility to obtain a storage effect of some orbits in the extraction region of isochronous cyclotrons. ffect, on the one hand, will cause the intensity growth in the internal beam, and, on the other hand, will significantly improve the extraction efficiency. Besides, it will reduce the activation of the elements inside the cyclotrons. sults of these calculations as well as the beam dynamics conditions for obtaining such a phenomenon will be presented. Some constructional solutions for getting this effect will be also proposed.
