Abstract :
A two-arm spectrometer, designed to detect η and π0 mesons, has been built and used in (π, η) measurements at LAMPE. This spectrometer contains BGO active converters and NaI total-energy counters. Its construction and performance for (π−, π0) and (π−, η) measurements on CH2 are described. Novel techniques to monitor the gains of the BGO an NaI counters are also presented.
