Abstract
DIANE is a small neutron radiography system including a sealed tube as a neutron source. Using a moderating assembly made of HD(PE) and lead, the feasibility of obtaining a thermalization factor of about 350 cm2 for 14 MeV neutrons was proved. The obtained thermal neutrons are usable for neutron radiography purposes despite the high content in the beam of epithermal and fast neutrons, and γ-rays.
