Weighted frame integration for electronic imaging neutron radiography

A digital processing unit based on a weighted frame integration method for visualizing a real-time distribution of average inspecting value was incorporated in the Musashi dynamic image processing system. The system was applied in a neutron radiography experiment investigating two phase flow. The visualization of the dynamic image of the average void fraction was demonstrated using this method. A simulation experiment was carried out using a flat light source and semitransparent acrylic plates with circular holes and the accuracy of the method was evaluated.
