Abstract :
A design of a fast multiplicity trigger system, using programmable logic devices is presented. The system has a pulse width updating feature and the multiplicity threshold level may be set in a wide range (1–120), manually or remotely via an I2C link. The total delay is better than 100 ns. The logical algorithms are also described in detail.
