A Survey on Major Contributors of E-Waste and Strategies to Solve E-Waste Crisis

Electronics waste is becoming a major global issue. Electrical and electronic devices is the fastest-growing sector of several countries, At the same time, rapid replacement process of these devices causing serious impact on the environment as well health .This replacement making the life of IT and electronicequipmenttoo short and causing generation of waste. This paper gives an overview of status of E-waste generation, consequences of E-waste, strategies for proper handling of E-waste in India, some guidelines for recycling and reuse to minimize for effective management. In this paper Focus will be laid on e-waste from IT-equipment (IT-waste).
