Abstract :
This paper describes the design and development of low pass filter (LPF) at 60 GHz. The present design uses stepped impedance method in suspended strip line. The design is modeled and optimized using CST (Computer Simulation Technology) microwave studio. The design of a filter types that Tchebysheve 0.1 dB ripple in the passband with the standard bandwidth of 2% and 30 dB attenuation at 94 GHz. The 60 GHz low pass filter exhibits an insertion loss of 1 dB with 3 dB relative bandwidth at a cut-off frequency of 60 GHz and the return loss is better than -18 dB at a cut-off frequency. The designed and fabricated low pass filter shows the good performance for planar integrated millimeter-wave circuits.
