STRUCTURAL SUPERPLASTICITY: FROM DEFORMATION MECHANISM TO CONSTITUTIVE EQUATIONS

The development of the concepts of physical mechanisms of superplastic deformation is briefly outlined. These concepts are used to describe the tensor relationship between the stresses and strain rates in the case of monotone multicomponent loading. It is shown that the stress and strain rate tensors are not aligned in the general case.
