Abstract :
Various methods for the measurement of wire chamber aging were analyzed and a more adequate procedure was proposed. The dependence of the aging rate R for DME-filled wire chamber of the materials and gain was investigated. For the drift chamber of the KEDR detector, R equals 45%/(C/cm). We conclude that, with careful choice of materials, the DME-filled drift chamber can operate without considerable aging effects.
