Abstract
The development of cryogenic detectors for calorimetric nuclear spectroscopy is an important application in the study of neutrino physics.
vestigation of Re-187 and Ho-163 decay spectra by means of cryogenic micro-calorimeters could provide more stringent kinematics limits on anti-neutrino and neutrino mass respectively.
urement of the Re-187 beta spectrum has been undertaken with an energy resolution of approximately 30 eV FWHM. The preliminary results obtained with a micro-calorimeter for the Ho-163 decay spectrum study are presented.
r important application of this kind of detector is the measurement of the solar neutrino flux in radiochemical solar neutrino experiments. A cryogenic detector for the Be-7 EC decay measurement with a 100% counting efficiency has been developed. This result has demonstrated the feasibility of a new lithium radiochemical experiment which is in progress in Moscow.
