VLSI for pacemaker application

A set of three custom mixed-signal ASIC, designed for implantable pacemaker applications, has been developed and tested, realising a complete switched-capacitors, fully programmable sensing chain with internal band-gap voltage reference (ASIC_1 and 2) and a switched-capacitor 8 bit ADC (ASIC_3). and ASIC_3 will be merged together on the same ASIC with other high-level analogue functions like charge pump, output switches, RC time base, acceleration-meter sensing chain, battery and leads monitors and a telemetric stage in order to realise a complete analogue section of an implantable pacemaker.
