Abstract :
The spatial resolution and the sensitivity of a blue colored Imaging Plate (blue-IP) were compared with those of a conventional Imaging Plate (white-IP) by using Cu Kα X-rays. The spatial resolution of the blue-IP was estimated to be 84 μm (FWHM) and 220 μm (FW@10%M), while that of white-IP was estimated to be 178 and 395 μm, respectively. No significant differences were observed between the blue and white-IPs in terms of the sensitivity and the dynamic range. These encouraging results obtained in the present study can facilitate substituting traditional white-IPs with blue-IPs in various fields of X-ray experiments.
