STABILITY OF A RECTANGULAR PLATE LOADED BY A CONCENTRATED FORCE

By using the Rayleigh-Ritz method, we obtain the Euler critical load and buckling modes for a rectangular plate loaded by a concentrated force at one of the plateʹs longer edge and supported by a frictionless rigid foundation at the other edge.
