Abstract :
A mini-TPC has been developed for use in PEP-II B-factory beam commissioning and background studies relevant for the BaBar detector. Installed near the intersecting region of the two beams, it has the capability to measure intensities, origins and composition of background particles coming from the e+/e− beams which produce charged tracks in its volume.
