  • Abstract
    The objective of our study is to investigate the moderating effect of perceived organizational support between autonomy and affective commitment in the Universities of Pakistan. The quantitative study using questionnaire was carried out which involved the 250 respondents from Pakistani universities. Regression analysis and variance analysis was used to test the hypothesis. Analysis of the data proved that, when moderating variable which is perceived organizational support was included in the model, the relationship of autonomy and affective commitment get stronger. The findings of this paper provided interesting implications to practice and will be a source of general guidance in future research. The results of this study are significant in educational sector and they can also be applicable to other sectors. This study is contributing to the literature as relationship of autonomy and affective is studied using POS as a moderator which was not studied in past.
