Abstract
Recently, in Vietnam teachers’ job satisfaction has been emerging faster as a
phenomenon, which attracts the government and society to pay attention. Teachers’ job
satisfaction plays a vital role, not only for education career, but also for improving
teaching and learning quality and even for a nation’s development which can help create
the strength and effectiveness for school system. The current study aims to analyze the
factors that are closely associated with teacher job satisfaction as well as to investigate the
possible influence of individual background variables upon teaching career.
In this study, the investigation using designated questionnaire is implemented by
surveying junior secondary school teachers around Vietnam. The data are carried out by
using multiple statistical analyses, including exploratory factor analysis, reliability
analysis, mean point value, multiple linear regressions, and correlations analysis. The
results are significantly correlated with factors related to teachers’ satisfaction. This
research provides useful findings to governors who can take reference in the purpose of
improving teaching and learning quality, and stabilizing teachers’ satisfaction.
